Reference data

Data Sources

Vinverses Money separates public data collection from presentation so every value can carry its source, date and availability state.

Live metals

Global gold, silver and platinum spot prices come from Gold API's free, keyless current-price endpoints. USD prices per troy ounce are converted to INR with the latest daily USD/INR reference. The cards refresh every minute and show the exact provider timestamp.

Daily gold history

The day-by-day chart uses the National Bank of Poland's official 1000-fineness gold price per gram and converts each published PLN value with Frankfurter's PLN/INR rate for the same date. Both APIs are keyless.

Currency

USD/INR comes from Frankfurter's free, keyless daily exchange-rate API. It aggregates central-bank reference data and is intentionally labelled daily rather than live.

Indian retail and indices

City gold, historical retail gold, Nifty and Sensex references are read from public Goodreturns pages on the server. These publisher values can be delayed or unavailable when the page blocks automated requests or changes its structure.

Refresh schedule

Current global metal responses are cached for one minute, official daily history and currency for one hour, publisher pages for 30 minutes and publisher historical dates for one day.

Failure handling

If a source is unavailable or returns an invalid response, the interface shows an unavailable state or a clearly labelled fallback. It does not retain an undated price.

Important limitation

Spot-derived and published reference rates can differ from exchange quotes and local retailer bills. Jewellery totals can also include purity adjustments, making charges, wastage, stones and taxes.
